ONE OF the world's biggest freight forwarding organisations, GeoLogistics, has chosen Lep Logistics, a subsidiary of the 106-year old Turner Group, as its exclusive partner in South Africa. According to Stephen Finch, chief executive officer of GeoLogistics for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, the group is beefing up its operations to re-establish itself as a major player in South Africa.
Lep Logistics and its customs clearing partner Turners Shipping operate from all the country's ports.
The 150-year old GeoLogistics group has nearly 1 000 service centres in more than 140 countries.
