Sars on 21 October announced the imposition of anti-dumping duties on frozen potato chips, classifiable under tariff subheading 2004.10.2, originating in or imported from Belgium and the Netherlands, effective on the day.
The anti-dumping duties and rate of anti-dumping duties relate to: (i) Chips or French fries produced by Clarebout Potatoes N.V, Belgium, 6.19%; (ii) Chips or French fries produced by Mydibel Foods S.A, Belgium, 9.71%; (iii) Chips or French fries produced by PinguinLutosa Foods B.V, Belgium, 5.81%; (iv) Chips or French fries (excluding those produced by Agristo N.V Harelbeke, Clarebout Potatoes N.V, Mydibel Foods S.A and PinguinLutosa Foods B.V), Belgium, 30.77%; (v) Chips or French fries produced by Agristo N.V Tilburg, The Netherlands, 12.52%; and (vi) Chips or French fries (excluding those produced by Agristo N.V Tilburg and Lamb Weston/Meijer V.O.F), The Netherlands, 16.42%.
