The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has created a webpage, “FAQs for Tax Relief Measures on Excise Duty”.
It relates to National Treasury’s announced fiscal package, outlined by the President on 25 July 2021, in response to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. The relief is applicable to tax-compliant businesses in the alcohol sector who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown restrictions.
