The European Union (EU) is investing about a million Euros in a scheme to increase Zimbabwe’s agri-production and boost exports to the EU market.
It is designed to strengthen Zimbabwe’s sanitary and phytosanitary institutions to ensure that its exports meet the requirements of the EU market.
The sanitary and phytosanitary measures are designed to protect human and animal life from risks arising from additives, contaminants, toxins or disease-causing organisms in food stuffs.
