Etzion takes over at Marimed SA

AMOS ETZION will take over as managing director of Marimed Shipping in South Africa on March 1 when Mike Katz returns to head office after his three-year stint in Johannesburg. Etzion has notched up 30 years in the shipping industry starting with Zim Lines in Israel. During his time with Zim he was posted to Taiwan, Hong Kong and the USA. While working for the Rosenfeld Shipping group he established the ABC Container Line (a Belgian shipping company) in the Israeli trade. He later took over as managing director of Conmart Limited, a leading shipping agency in Israel, to establish the Yang Ming Line service in Israel as well as the TMM Lines and CMNI. He recently joined the Marigulf group taking up the post of MD of Marimed Shipping Co. in South Africa.
