Full range of dangerous goods services on offer

JOY ORLEK
JOHANNESBURG-BASED dangerous goods specialist EC Logistics is expanding its network.
On January 10 the company will open a Durban office on Victoria Embankment, just five kilometres from the Durban Container Terminal.
The facility will be headed up by Cindy Crane and will offer the full range of dangerous goods related services. In addition it will provide a convenient supply point for the CEFIC Transport Emergency Card (tremcard) which must be carried in the cab of any vehicle carrying dangerous goods by road. EC Logistics is one of only three operators licensed to issue the card.
A 25-year veteran of the dangerous goods business, EC Logistics MD Eddie Crane has responded to growing demand for a Durban-based facility.
“We’ll be offering the total package that we provide in Johannesburg,” says Crane. “From consulting on dangerous goods legislation, seminars, training aids, driver training and dangerous goods warehouse auditing, to the supply of all legally required placarding for vehicles transporting dangerous goods.”
A full outline of the company’s services and products can be accessed on the website at www.eclogistics.co.za
