Bunker fuel at Durban hit the highest levels in seven months on Friday, according to global energy, petrochemicals, metals and agriculture information provider, S&P Global Platts.

Platts spokesperson Tom Washington noted that this was due to reports of limited availability and output from refineries.

High sulphur fuel oil traders told Platts that barrels were being pulled away from Europe by bunkering demand.
