Denmark’s DSV today announced that it had completed the acquisition of Swiss logistics group Panalpina, creating one of the world’s largest transport and logistics companies.
Panalpina accepted a bid from DSV in April.
The entire integration period is expected to take two to three years, with most of the operational integration being completed within two years.
Pending the approval at an extraordinary general meeting, DSV will change its registered name to DSV Panalpina. As the integration progresses, all subsidiaries and operational activities will be united under the DSV name and brand, according to a joint statement.
