THE DELMAS Komati discharged 150 empty and eleven full TEUs on its maiden call at the MIPS container terminal in the Port of Maputo earlier this month. The vessel loaded 92 full containers before proceeding to Nacala, Port Victoria and Nava Sheva where she was expected to arrive on October 17. The next vessel, the Delmas Kaveri, is scheduled to arrive in Maputo on October 20, general manager Delmas Shipping SA, Arnauld Thibault, told FTW. The launch of the fortnightly, direct service from India is a milestone event for the port, with Nava Sheva providing good hubbing connections into Asia and the Middle East.
