Due to the interest in the entering into force of the ‘New Acts’ we introduce a clock counting up the days since the publication of the Customs Duty Act, 2014 and the Customs Control Act, 2014 (control) and when their drafting commenced.
It has been 587 days since the Customs Duty Act, 2014 was published, 574 days since the Customs Control Act, 2014 was published and 4,084 days since their drafting commenced.
Even though these Acts have not entered into force they have been subject to two proposed amendments in terms of the Taxation Laws Amendment Bills of 2015 and 2014.
