Compu-Clearing launches strategy to extend marketing reach

Business partner programme will also enhance service COMPU-CLEARING has embarked on a new strategy to market and support its systems nationally and internationally. By appointing business partners in strategic regions the freight software major believes it will not only expand its marketing reach but also enhance its service and support. “There are certain areas, like Maputo in Mozam-bique, which are poised for growth,” says CEO Arnold Garber. “The same applies to Walvis Bay and Windhoek, which are growth areas but are far and expensive. “We have never aggressively marketed our services north of the border and the only way that Compu-Clearing can give a good service in remote areas is by appointing business partners.” And this concept applies equally in areas like East London and Port Elizabeth, where he believes it would boost the levels of service. “We see companies like ACCPAC achieving success by appointing business partners all over the region,” says Garber. “We believe we can do the same.” Peter Curtis, who joined Compu Clearing 18 years ago, has been appointed to run and manage the business partner programme. “It will not only enable us to provide a better level of service to our clients in southern Africa, but will enable us to achieve our international expansion objectives,” he told FTW. “We have one client in Seattle, one in Miami and one in London. We cannot hope to expand internationally with our own resources. We need to share our efforts with locals who know the territory better than we can ever hope to.”
