French line CMA CGM has launched a new ‘priority boarding’ feature as part of its eSolutions eco-system.

Using its digital platform, customers will be able to secure space on board.

First offered by the line from India to Europe, priority boarding will be gradually offered to other countries and carriers within the CMA CGM Group, says Rodolphe Saadé, chairman and chief executive officer.

“With a secured space on board for their container, customers will be able to plan their supply chain more efficiently, thus enhancing their business and efficiency towards their own customers.

“With CMA CGM eSolutions, the Group’s clients now have access to all their shipping needs with a single click, making their experience with CMA CGM simpler and more transparent,” says Saadé.

It’s all part of the company’s digital journey, which includes the recent introduction a series of new features at regional and global level – ranging from ePricing and eBooking to

eBill of Lading, eTracking and ePayment.
