CATHAY PACIFIC is working towards a fifth frequency on its Far East/SA service which will definitely benefit cargo, says South African chief executive, Don Hunter. Cargo, he says, has grown dramatically as the carrier is increasingly dealing with seafood companies in Cape Town. Goods are road transported to Johannesburg for air freighting to Taipei and Japan. For this type of service, he said, even a daily service would be welcome.
