Zakhele Thwala has been appointed interim director for the Civil Aviation Authority. The organisation said that Thwala would act as the head of the South African Civil Aviation Authority until a permanent director has been appointed by the board following the ending of previous director Captain Colin Jordaan’s contract on December 31 last year. Thwala has extensive experience in the aviation industry and has worked for South African Airways, the South African Airforce, Denel and the Gauteng Department of Transport during his career.
