Bremen expects 30% growth from Africa

THE PORTS of Bremen/
Bremerhaven are gearing up for growth of up to 30% in trade with Africa during the year ahead.
Bremen's senator for ports Uwe Beckmeyer said in his recently-released year-end report that while Africa currently makes up less than 5% of container transport, shipping lines' decisions to favour Bremen will result in considerable growth.
