Zebra Technologies’ new
handheld mobile computers
are helping companies boost
productivity, according to Neil
Gouveia, country manager for
the company.
“The ultimate goal of
inventory management is
to optimise supply chain
practices to minimise costs
without jeopardising service
to customers,” he explained.
He said upgrading
warehouse hardware helped
to manage inventory in a
leaner way.
Gouveia pointed to an
example of how ASICS
Europe BV – manufacturer of
sport performance products
– had increased productivity
of its European distribution
centre warehouse operators
by one hour per shift with
the Zebra TC8000 mobile
computer.
