An invitation has been extended to all interested parties to comment on the proposed increase in the rate of customs duty on artificial turf, classifiable under tariff subheading 9506.99.90. The intention is for the creation of an additional 8-digit tariff subheading for “Artificial Turf”, at a “General” rate of customs duty of 10% ad valorem. The prevailing “General” rate of customs duty is free (0%). Comment is due by 03 June 2011.
