The Angolan ministries of trade and finance are currently drafting a joint decree designed to ban the re-export of food products imported for domestic consumption.
This was investigated by a government economics team as a response to massive re-exporting which had been recorded in recent months. Of the basic basket of products, those with the highest re-export rates were rice, sugar, beans, corn flour, soap and cooking oil.
