Ed Richardson THE TWICE-renamed P&O Nedlloyd Algoa has returned to the Algoa Bay harbour of Port Elizabeth on the direct Far East-Port Elizabeth service launched in April this year. Dubbed the P&O Nedlloyd Algoa to mark the start of the service, the 2 500 TEU vessel was subsequently renamed the Moll Perana. She has, however, been renamed again, as the P&O Nedlloyd Algoa, according to P&O Nedlloyd Eastern Cape branch manager Ann Durant. The service, launched by P&O and Mitsui OSK under the names SAFESA (SA-Far East-South Asia), and SALSA (SA-South America), has proved so successful that additional ports of call have been added, she says.
