ANGOLAN SPECIALIST the Aguiar Group has seen significant growth in the movement of airfreight into the region.
Charters to Soyo and Cabinda have shown particular growth according to local Aguiar representative Bill Brumby.
The cargo mix is a range of general strategic goods destined for oil companies and building purposes.
Brumby is unsure of the reason for the surge which has been particularly evident in the last three months. "Perhaps shippers switched to airfreight for speed in the run-up to Christmas, or possibly the national port strike encouraged a move to airfreight. We'll have to see whether or not it continues into the New Year.Ó
