AIR FRANCE has become the first airline to launch the new B747-400 Extended Range Freighter which made its first commercial flight on October 22 non-stop from Paris to Shanghai. The second and third aircraft join the Air France fleet next week (November 19). The new aircraft is more efficient than its predecessor, the B747-200F, in terms of operating range, payload, fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness.
