Agricultural Levies on Perishable Products from 01 April

On 05 April the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (Daff) announced the “Imposition of Levies on Perishable Products” in terms of the Perishable Products Export Control Act, effective from 01 April.

Perishable Products Export Control Board imposes the following levies and tariffs, in respect of each of the under mentioned perishable products, which may be exported from South Africa.

The notice consists of the following categories: Sea Levies; Container Inspection Levies; Other Levies; Inspection Levies (Agricultural Product Standards); Hour and Kilometre Rate; Laboratory Fees; Non-Accredited Methods; and General.
