African flag carrier heading for liquidation or privatisation?

Cape Verde’s financially troubled national carrier, Transportes Aereos de Cabo Verde (TACV), looks as though it could be heading for liquidation.

But prime minister Ulisses Correia da Silva was reported by the local press to be looking for ways to avoid this scenario.

His government was reportedly working with the World Bank on a restructuring plan, including cost and staff cuts, and leading to eventual privatisation of the airline’s international section
