A TOTAL OF 300 new aircraft will fly the skies of the world in the colours of African nations during the next 20 years, showing the significant increase in the continent as an aircraft purchaser.
South Africa will lead the way, but expect other nations to come surging forward as time goes on, says Paul Bride, sales director of Boeing in southern Africa.
Cash-strapped nations will not be held back totally in this initiative, he says.
Although African airlines, generally, are short of cash, new jet planes will earn them enough to pay off the loans used to buy them and also make a profit.
