Affretair plans Amsterdam service

AFFRETAIR, Zimbabwe's national cargo airline, says loads are down by 30%. We are averaging 200 tonnes a week, says m.d Godfrey Manhambara.
Because of the prevailing situation we have introduced two stopovers in Nairobi to supplement loads destined for Europe.
The airline, which does not operate its own aircraft, has the use of space on four DHL Aviation flights a week to Brussels.
Affretair says it plans to add two flights a week to Europe when it resumes direct flights to Amsterdam in April. Shippers say that the only way it can offer a service to Amsterdam, the plum destination for Zimbabwe because of the flower auctions, is by leasing space on another carrier Ñ and this means KLM.
