At the time of writing the South African Revenue Service (Sars) had yet to publish the 2019 tariff amendments to Part 1 of Schedule No 1 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964, ‘Ordinary Customs Duty’ to implement changes to the rates of customs duties in terms of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between the European Union (EU) and the Southern African Development Community SADC EPA States for 2019 and other miscellaneous amendments.
