Senior Airfreight Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Imports Controller, specializing in Airfreight to join their dynamic operations team based in Pomona.

Responsibilities: 

• Managing end-to-end airfreight import operations.
• Handling estimates, quotations and shipment documentation.
• Coordinating with airlines, agents and internal departments.
• Ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
• Meeting monthly and quarterly KPIs.
• Managing a high-volume workload (approximately 150 shipments and 300 quotes per month).

Requirements: 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in airfreight imports (forwarding/consolidation environment).
• Strong knowledge of import procedures and documentation.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Afrikaans proficiency advantageous.
• Strong work ethic with a positive, outgoing personality.
• ShipShape (beneficial).
