Seafreight Import Controller

Join a medium-sized clearing and forwarding agent handling seafreight imports, within a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to join an established business.

My client is looking for a seafreight superstar to join their busy team. You will be responsible for handling files from A-Z, exclusive of framing the entry. They are on the hunt for a driven and meticulous Controller, who is able to operate under pressure. Duties:

• Register files on ShipShape.
• Prepare and send documents to the Customs Department.
• Pass Cargo Dues, Landing Orders, etc. 
• Ensure accruals are recorded for invoicing. 
• Plan and arrange deliveries.
• Ensure system updates, uploads and file endorsements on an ongoing basis per file through the shipment process. 
• Provide timely updates via phone or email. 
• Attend examinations, inspections, etc.

Requirements: 

• Minimum 5 years experience in a Seafreight Import Controller (or similar role) within clearing and forwarding (non-negotiable). 
• ShipShape experience is highly advantageous. 
• Able to handle up to 10 files/day in terms of volume.
