An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Sales Manager to join a growing business within the aluminium industry. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with a strong technical background and the ability to engage effectively with architects and key stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in driving sales strategy, building high-value relationships, and identifying new business opportunities to support sustainable growth. Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing the sales and market development function.
  • Ensuring the team adheres to the sales process, achieves targets, and delivers a premium customer experience.
  • Coaching agents and the internal sales team in technical advisory and design-led selling.
  • Building a high-performance, consultative sales culture aligned with brand values.
  • Owning and continuously refining the full sales process from lead generation through to specification, agent execution, and manufacture.
  • Developing and executing strategies to engage with leading architects.
  • Scheduling and delivering CPDs, design reviews, presentations, and showroom consultations by appointment.
  • Expanding market presence through effective segmentation and relationship building.
  • Taking accountability for achieving sales targets through specification-led demand.
  • Managing pipeline health, ensuring accurate forecasting, and driving strong conversion through the agent network.
  • Maintaining margin discipline and avoiding discount-driven sales practices.
  • Driving sustainable growth through high-quality, specification-based sales rather than transactional approaches.
  • Training agents to operate as trusted advisors in line with a premium customer experience.
  • Ensuring agents have a strong understanding of design intent, technical detail, and product standards.
  • Supporting agents in converting specified projects with high accuracy and strong margins.
  • Collaborating with marketing to showcase completed projects, architect partnerships, and brand positioning.

Requirements:

  • Matric certificate preferred.
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel interprovincially.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales and sales management.
  • Proven experience and strong technical knowledge within the aluminium industry.
  • A draughting or relevant technical qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
