Your Early Warning System to Technical Barriers to Trade

The World Trade Organisation (WTO) Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Agreement has a transparency obligation that requires WTO member countries to publish and notify the WTO, which in turn notifies its member countries, of any draft technical regulations at least 60 days in advance of adoption.
The comments on all draft technical regulations are for the week 30 March 2015 to 05 April 2015, comment on which may be submitted to ronel.greyvenstein@sabs.co.za.

NOTIFICATION
The following communication, dated 30 March 2015, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of South Africa.
The draft technical regulation notified through G/TBT/N/ZAF/176 – Regulations relating to classification, packing and marking of dairy products and imitation dairy products intended for sale in the Republic of South Africa – was published by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as a schedule in Government Gazette no 38615, notice no 260, dated 27 March 2015.
