World’s newest jetliner takes off

The A350-1000 shortly after taking off from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport in France at 11.42 South African time today.

This morning (Thursday November 24) saw the launch flight of the world’s newest jetliner, the Airbus A350-1000.   

The aircraft features fuselage and wing components made in South Africa by Centurion-based Aerosud as well as satellite communications equipment manufactured in Westlake, Cape Town by Cobham South Africa.
