HAVING SET ZA Trans (UK) on a profitable course over the last two years, veteran freight personality Vic Erfmann returns to South Africa this month as chief executive officer of the ZA Trans Group.
While he was always active in management discussions, the local team is confident that his vast knowledge and experience, acquired over 40 years in the industry, will add impetus to local growth and development plans.
He is probably best known for his involvement with the Burlington Group (now Union Transport) in the late eighties, when he was managing director under the chairmanship of Tiger Wessels.
Established in Johannesburg in 1994, ZA Trans is a privately owned SA company offering the full range of logistics services. The company has own offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and London and a staff complement of 65.
