Vale delays coal exports through Nacala to Q3

Vale Mozambique will only begin exporting coal through the port of Nacala, in Mozambique, in the third quarter of the year, according to the Brazilian Vale group’s executive director (fertilisers and coal).

Although exports through the port were due to start in the first quarter of this year, flood damage on the railway linking he port to the mines in Moatize delayed things.

Up to now, Vale has only used the Sena Line between Moatize and the port of Beira for its exports.
