UNI-FEEDER, Unicorn Lines' Mozambican feeder operation, will launch a weekly named-day direct service linking Nacala with Durban and a weekly southbound call linking Maputo with Durban on March 22 with the sailing of the Harare voyage 10.
Aimed at facilitating the potential offered by the currently under-utilised Nacala corridor to Malawian importers and exporters, the service offers an alternative to hauling Durban hubbed volumes overland through Zimbabwe.
It will offer Uni-Feeder customers a distinct competitive advantage on rates and transit times, according to Liam McKenzie, Unicorn (SA) liner executive.
McKenzie added that Uni-Feeder would shortly provide additional through-tracking information to customers utilising the Mozambican corridor routes for hinterland cargoes.
