The Indian Ocean island of Mauritius closed its port and airport today (Wednesday) as the class III tropical cyclone, Berguitta, approached.
The Airport of Mauritius said the airport would be closed from early morning today until further notice. Flights from South Africa were cancelled today.
The country's main port at Port Louis was also closed. It is the country's principal gateway and handles about 99% of the total volume of external trade.
