THE UPGRADING and expansion of Polokwane International will come under the spotlight when an international transport convention is to be held there between May 15-21.
According to the head of Limpopo Province’s Department of Roads and Transport, Ben Mehale, more than 2 000 delegates from countries throughout Africa and Europe have indicated their intention to attend.
Full details if the convention programme have not been released at this stage, but it is expected that the needs of the airport itself will be highlighted, with the hope of international investment being encouraged in what will then become a public/private development.
Two separate air shows have been arranged to wind up the week-long event.
