Transnet Export Coal, Manganese and Iron Ore Database

On 19 February Transnet published an “Invitation to Register as an Interested Party on the Transnet SOC Ltd Export Coal, Manganese and Iron Ore Database”.
According to the invitation, Transnet is in the process of obtaining data in respect of entities which currently hold valid mining or prospecting rights and which are or would be in the medium to long term interested in the export of either manganese ore, coal or iron ore via Transnet’s rail and port network. The process will assist Transnet in its short, medium and long term capacity planning.
A Database Application form can be obtained by emailing a request to Keycommoditydatabase@transnet.net.
Application is due by 15 March 2012.
