Trade deficit widens

SOUTH AFRICA¡¯S trade account recorded yet another deficit in July, widening to R7.75-billion after narrowing to R4.2-bn in June. The deficit came on the back of declining exports which fell by 1.85% month-on-month (m/m) in July to R34.85-bn from R35.5-bn in June.
