Transnet Port Terminals (TPT)
is upping its game not only in
infrastructure spending but
also in ensuring its staff is
running a more efficient and
smooth service all round.
This was the message
from TPT chief executive
Karl Socikwa to the shipping
industry in Cape Town at a
recent breakfast arranged by
JF Hillebrand on behalf of the
Cape Chamber of Commerce
and Industry.
“Transnet as a business has
evolved hugely over the past few
years. We still have challenges
to overcome, but we are rising
to the challenge and finding
solutions.”
He said in this regard TPT
was engaging more regularly
with its customers and other
role-players in the port system
to ensure they were on target
with the real demands.
