Technical tariff subheading amendments

On 02 October 205, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) published the technical 8-digit (country-specific) tariff amendments, by the insertion of new 8-digit tariff subheadings amendments under Chapters 29, 38, and 68, in Part 1 of Schedule No.1 (ordinary customs duty) to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964. The tariff amendments will take effect on 01 January 2026.

The tariff subheadings, for which the rates of customs duties are all ‘free’, are:
