Sunair arranges JIA hand-in for Lanseria-CT flights

EXPRESS COURIER packages moving from Lanseria to Cape Town on Sunair's twice-a-day flights can now be handed in at the Johannesburg International Airport offices of Swissport, cargo handlers for the airline in both Gauteng and Western Cape. The Cargo Connection is now selling the service, mainly to the express industry, through its Cape Town office, where regional director Arne van Mansberg is piloting the project. An arrangement has been made with Cargo Logistics at Lanseria, who collect items from the Swissport offices at JIA and transfer them by road to Lanseria. Packages arriving from Cape Town and destined for JIA handling, are transferred in the same manner. Sunair flies DC9 aircraft, allowing for bellyloads of up to two tons per flight from Cape Town and one and a half tons from Lanseria.
