South America service returns to full strength

WITH THE inclusion of the 1 048 TEU-capacity ship, the Phoenix, Hamburg-Süd’s SA-West Africa-East Coast South America triangular service (SAWA-5845) has reverted to a three-ship fleet, according to the latest issue of BRS-Alphaliner news. She will run alongside the Arnis and Castor. This service, which was taken over in April 2003 by Hamburg-Süd as part of the Kien Hung Line purchase, was downgraded from three to two ships at the time of the deal.
