SARS: Stay Alert! Latest Payment Scam

On 10 October 2024, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) advised that the latest scam was an email about unsettled payment. The scam leads you to a malicious website.

  • Ensure the email or SMS is genuine before clicking on any link.
  • Protect yourself from scams and phishing!
  • Do not open or respond to emails from unknown sources.
  • Beware of emails or SMSes asking for personal, tax, banking or e-filing details.
  • SARS will never send you hyperlinks to other websites.
  • Watch SARS’ short tutorial video on how to spot scams.
