On 27 March National Treasury announced the appointment of Edward Kieswetter as the Commissioner for the South African Revenue Service (Sars) with effect from 01 May for a term of five years.

Six (6) candidates were shortlisted and invited to the final interviews:

·    Edward Kieswetter

·    Mark Kingon

·    Gene Ravele

·    Nazrien Kader
