On 27 March 2025, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) advised that its “Bonds Policy” had been amended to:
- Provide clarity on consignor bonds
- Explain the Rule for the correction of surety bonds.
- Include Rule 12.08.
- Remove financial institution and bank names.
