On 16 May 2024, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) advised that its Bellville branch would be closed on the day, until further notice. SARS indicated that more detail would be made available at a later stage. In the instance of virtual appointments, these would be honoured, however no physical visits or walk-ins would be accommodated. SARS apologised for any inconvenience caused by its closure.
