On 07 June 2023, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced an update of the Prohibited and Restricted Imports and Exports List to the effect that:
- Tariff headings 35.03 and 35.04 now need to be detained for State Vet to investigate.
- The tariff subheadings below are to be detained for National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) investigations:
