On 26 November 2025, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) advised that tariff heading 4909 “printed or illustrated postcards; printed cards bearing personal greetings, messages or announcements, whether or not illustrated, with or without envelopes or trimmings” is exempt from Import Permit Control in terms of the Prohibited and Restricted Imports and Exports List.
