The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) will lead an Outward Trade and Investment Mission (OTIM) to Ghana and Nigeria from 10 to 14 February 2019. The deadline for submission of applications forms is 05 December 2019.
The objective of this mission is to increase bilateral trade and investment between South Africa and the following We0st African countries, Ghana and Nigeria. This mission is an ideal platform for South African companies who would like to export value added products and services and for companies who are looking for investment opportunities in Ghana and Nigeria. Planned activities include trade and investment seminar, business to business meetings and site visits.
The targeted sectors for this mission include:
- Agriculture: Agro-processing, food industry, agribusiness;
- Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals;
- Infrastructure: roads & rail, bridges, ports;
- Energy;
- Oil & Gas; and
- Mining.
Companies will be screened and selected in line with the Export Marketing Investment Assistance (EMIA) guidelines and market requirements.
