Ore corridor reopens after derailment

Train services are now operational on the Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) Ore Corridor.

TFR said in a statement on Friday afternoon that services had resumed at midday after it had inspected the safety of the line.

“The loop line was declared safe for the passage of trains at 08:30 this morning, following a derailment of wagons in the early hours of Wednesday, June 14. TFR service teams have inspected the line and declared it safe,” TFR said.
